Valentine’s Day is Officially Over…And It Was Tasty!

I know, I know, Valentine’s Day was over on February 14th, 11:59 pm,  a month and a half ago.  But for me, my celebration ended this weekend.  On Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend surprised with me tickets to see Beauty and the Beast on stage.  As a die-hard Disney fan, I could not have been more excited! World Nutella Day

Nutella Ravioli

Nutella has spread (pun intended) all over the world, and has become so popular that there is actually a day devoted to it. In 2007, two American food bloggers in Italy created World Nutella Day. This year the holiday lands on Feb. 5.  So here we are, three years later, continuing to celebrate the worldwide domination of Nutella. And why shouldn’t we? It’s creamy, chocolate-y and completely addictive.

Ravioli for Dinner and Dessert

It seems we have caught some homemade pasta fever here at Chew on That. I’ve always had some faint desires to make my own pasta, but to be honest, it’s just one of those things I’d rather buy. But when R announced that we were making ravioli for dinner on Sunday, who was I to argue? He claimed the recipe was simple and seemed very excited about the whole thing. I shrugged my shoulders and hoped for the best.

Ravioli Duet at Tutto Pasta

The first night that we spent in Madison last weekend was July 4. We had been in Madison over the Fourth of July before and were quite excited for the Rhythm and Booms fireworks show set to music over Lake Mendota. However, due to some odd planning on someone’s part, the fireworks took place the previous weekend and we were left without both rhythm and booms. We had planned to pick up a quick sandwich and picnic near the fireworks, but with our plans foiled, we ended up at an old, classic fallback: Tutto Pasta.
