I haven’t been feeling too well lately. I’ve been coughing, sneezing, and laying in bed all day. When it came time to make a cocktail, I thought to myself, “this is not going to be good for my system.”I almost wimped out on making a cocktail this week; that is, until I had a revelation. When I last visited Green City Market, the peaches were just beginning to surface. A true symbol of summer, I had forgotten just how sweet and tasty these sun-soaked beauties can be. Have you been tempted by the abundance of peaches in farmer’s markets and in grocery stores like I have? A few months ago, I received wonderfully exciting news that a farmer’s market would be setting up shop across the street from my apartment every Sunday morning this summer. I was immediately fantasizing about stepping outside my door and browsing the stands, choosing locally grown fruits and vegetables for the week. I already told you about my love of the Madison farmer’s market and I was hoping to rekindle that love in the River North neighborhood.
