Tips for Lent Fasting

VGKids Sticker Template

For Lent this year, I’ll be giving up meat. It’s day three and I already feel like I’m being majorly challenged. I’m a picky eater as it is, so cutting out all my chicken and beef isn’t giving me as many options for dinner. dentist

Call it a coincidence, call it irony, the month of October is actually National Dental Hygiene Month. That means trying out new diets, exercising and trying to eat healthier so we can not only trim our waistlines but feel better too. With cookie recipes galore, we may be to blame for some of that excess body weight we’re experiencing right about now, but allow me to re-dispense some of the healthier advice we have given throughout the year. Foods You Should Eat to Maintain Your Health

First we had healthy food products, now we have healthy ingredients! Serious Eats posted this list of 11 Healthy Foods a few weeks ago and for the sake of eating healthy, we thought we’d pass it along.

Sadly, I only consume 5/11 of these foods…and not on that regular of a basis. I’m all for the pomegranate juice (you might remember I have an obsession with POM tea). I adore blueberries and cinnamon and pumpkin (I wasn’t steering you wrong when I challenged you all to eat a pumpkin a day!), along with pumpkin seeds!
