It’s time to get pumped for Memorial Day! That means barbecue food galore. As much as I love spring, we don’t really experience it in Chicago. I absolutely love 4th of July. Since I was a kid, my uncle would set off fireworks in the backyard as we’d run for cover and pray we wouldn’t get hit. This holiday means fun, delicious food and best of all…fireworks. The weather is always pretty toasty too!

Here in Chicago, we have various barbecue joints like Carson’s Ribs or Smoke Daddy BBQ but nothing near as fun or as tasty as Gates BBQ, a famous Kansas City barbecue chain.
