I spent the Saturday night before Easter baking sugar cookies. The kitchen was absolutely crazy: I was making two different kinds of cookies (at the same time) and my mom was making her famous deviled eggs for Easter at my godfather’s house. Read the rest of this entry »

Lately at the Recipe4Living office, we have been getting serious cases of the munchies. A while back, we received an Emerilware Bread Machine by T-fal. We used it a couple times, but lately, it has been sitting around and gathering dust. “Let’s bust out that bread maker and bake some bread!” we decided one day. After leafing through the Emerilware Bread Maker recipe book, we decided to bake a loaf of the delicious-sounding Pecan & Dried Cranberry Whole Wheat Bread.

My grandma is many wonderful things, but possibly her most well-known trait is her phenomenal talent for baking (and tennis and knitting, but that’s just not relevant here). I have mentioned before that baking is a very serious matter in my family, so it shouldn’t have come as any surprise when she pulled this out of her purse today at lunch:
