Skippy Peanut Butter Recall

When I get home tonight, the first thing I’m going to do is look at my jar of Skippy Peanut Butter. I’m a peanut butter freak, but now I’m freaking out about the Skippy recall for possible salmonella, especially because I just had some this weekend.

Here are the products that are affected: Skippy reduced fat creamy peanut butter spread and Skippy reduced fat chunky peanut butter spread. Both varieties are sold in 16.3 ounce plastic jars.

How to Avoid Food Poisoning aka How I Lost Weight in Disney World

300,000 Eggs Recalled


Looks like we have another egg problem! We told you all about the salmonella scare and massive egg recall in August and September. But now we have another outbreak. Mississippi’s Cal-Maine Foods Inc. recalled almost 300,000 unprocessed eggs from Ohio Fresh Eggs, LLC. Apparently, a regular study by the U.S. F.D.A. resulted in a positive sample for Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) in Ohio Fresh Eggs. There haven’t been any illnesses reported yet, but be aware when purchasing your eggs in the next few weeks.

UPDATE: Salmonella Outbreak


We gave you a rundown on salmonella last week, since millions of eggs have been tainted. Now we’re giving you an update, and we’re sorry that it isn’t a happy one. It’s actually really gross, and it will probably make me think twice about eating eggs for a while. Government reports made a grim discovery regarding the conditions at the two Iowa egg producers that are at the forefront of the egg recall. Filthy doesn’t even begin to describe what they found.
