In the spirit of March Madness, we’re hosting our very own battle, filled with the freshest ingredients from every season.

Each day, we’ll have a new match-up between two produce ingredients. We’re beginning with the two spring ingredients, strawberry and artichoke. Which ingredient would you rather eat or which do you enjoy cooking with most? Whichever you prefer, make sure to vote for it so it can move ahead and have a chance to become the March Produce Champion! Your vote determines which fruit or vegetable makes it to the next round.

Tell your friends about this competition, too! We want to make sure your voice is heard!

The first match-up will take place on March 1, 2011. Come back to Chew on That to cast your vote! Remember, voting only lasts for 24 hours!

Check out the recipe I used after the jump!
