A Love Letter… To An Epic Pork Chop

Dear Epic Pork Chop,

Prior to meeting you, I loathed your kind. They were thin, flimsy, and tasted like cardboard that bathed in gray, flavorless liquids. I continually gave them repeated chances, to no avail. Every time I’d open my heart to them, they’d return my gesture by nearly breaking my teeth. I admit, I frequently cheated on them with chicken breasts, beef, and even fish. A Mother’s Day Brunch Meal Plan

This Sunday is Mother’s Day, and I’m already getting excited about treating my mama to some waffles, pancakes and orange juice. Breakfast is her favorite meal, so if she decides to sleep in, I can bring her breakfast in bed! I know she’d love that! After all, my mom totally deserves it. She made my school lunches from 1st-8th grade, and she still makes most of my dinners. Hopefully, my meal will be good! Fingers crossed!

Drinking on Valentine’s Day

The Biggest Wedding Cake I’ve Ever Seen!


I love going to weddings! Who doesn’t? Love is in the air, you get to dress up, everyone wants to have fun and the food is delicious! On Saturday, I attended my second cousin’s wedding in downtown Chicago. There was a green/blue/purple peacock theme, which looked beautiful, and the cake was HUGE! It is probably the biggest cake I’ve ever seen. If you’ve ever seen the Food Network show, Ace of Cakes, then you know what I mean.
