New Fast Food Horrors: Monster Burgers and Dorito Taco Shells

When the KFC Double Down was born into the world, I was certain that we had seen the worst that fast food had to offer.  Yet, every month or so, a new fast food nightmare pops up that makes me ask just one question: “Why?”  The newest foods that are making me cringe?  Burger King’s Meat Monster burger and Taco Bell’s Dorito taco shells.  Read more after the jump. Five Guys=The Best Burger in America?

According to Zagat’s recent fast food survey, America has a clear winner when it comes to their favorite burger.  That winner is Five Guys Burgers and Fries.  Although Five Guys didn’t even make it into last year’s top 5 list, this year it overtook many popular chains to become the “best burger in America.”

National Junk Food Day

Can you skip the salad and nutritious food for just one day? We think you can. It’s National Junk Food Day. Of course, we’re not advocating that you should eat candy for dinner every day, but once a year won’t do too much harm. Even though I really dislike the term junk food, it’s ridiculous to claim that most of the foods labeled as such are healthy. Usually, they are high in calories or fat, with little nutritional value.
