Hey Onion-Breath, Get Out of Here!

Here at Recipe4Living, we love to cook, no surprise. Also unsurprisingly, we hate to have bad breath after eating delicious dishes like a Classic French Onion Soup, Garlic Bruschetta, and the best street food ever, Greek Gyros. Have you ever had a gyros sandwich? Then you definitely know about the bad breath that lasts for at least a couple of hours after eating one.

If you haven’t, why don’t you make one and then go try to kiss your significant other? Your dog probably won’t even want anything to do with you! But bad breath just comes with the territory, right? Not so, say the folks at Scope.

Sick of Snacking? 5 Ways to Use Almonds in the Kitchen

Are you a nut for nuts? I am! I love to snack on lots of different kinds of nuts, from almonds to peanuts and pecans to pistachios. But, I rarely use nuts when I’m cooking. My mind just never seems to equate a nut with a dinner meal. Now, that I’ve done some Recipe4Living research, I know that there are tons of way to cook with all different sorts of nuts. But rather than go through all of them–that would make us all a bit nutty-I’m sticking with almonds! I’ve found ways to use almonds in breakfasts, appetizers, dinners, sides and desserts!

The Good Food Awards


It seems like nowadays, you can give awards out for pretty much anything. Now, you can get special recognition for being one of the best food makers or growers in the United States. The San Francisco-based Seedling Projects created the Good Food Awards. How awesome would it be to submit your home-grown food and actually win an award for it! More after the jump.

The World’s Most Expensive Hot Dog!


I have heard of some strange things in my life, but I have never heard of a hot dog that costs more than $5 (and that’s including professional baseball games!)  I’m a big budget cooker, so to hear about a hot dog that will have you shelling out $69 was appalling to me!
