Celebrate National Lemonade Day Skinnygirl Style

National Lemonade Day is August 20th, and we can’t think of any better way to celebrate than adding a little “kick” to this summertime staple! Skinnygirl Cocktails was nice enough to send over some intriguing lemonade cocktail recipes, and I thought I would share them on the blog today.  These recipes reminded me how much I love the taste of lemonade.  On a hot summer day there’s nothing like a light and icy drink to cool you down. In my middle school days I would reach for a pitcher of lemonade, in my twenties, I’m reaching for one of these babies. Happy bartending!

Sparkling Lemonade


  • 1½ parts Skinnygirl™ Bare Naked Vodka
  • ½  part fresh lemonade
  • 1 part seltzer
  • Squeeze of lemon

Homemade Vitamin Water

I was a fan of store-bought vitamin drinks for a long time.  I read the promising labels and felt great about my purchase!  Well, at least until I did a bit of research.

Those pre-made vitamin drinks are actually filled with a boat load of sugar and processed ingredients.  As a general rule, I don’t like eating things I can’t pronounce.  Ferric pyrophosphate and anthocyanins, I’m talking about you!

Cocktails with a ZING!

Anyone who knows me, knows I love a good cocktail. One of my favorite things to do is go out with girlfriends and try new interesting drinks. So you can imagine how excited I was when the folks at Zing Anything sent me their new cocktail shaker/fruit infuser, conveniently called the ”Vodka Zinger”.
