Now, why would anyone describe my beloved brownie in such a sordid way? But as harsh as it may sound, I’m afraid the claim is true. And it’s actually quite witty.
According to The Londoner, a lifestyle blog of a social media and digital marketing consultant, these brownies are given the appropriate name ‘Slutty Brownies’ because “they’re oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy.” After trying them for myself, I couldn’t agree more. This forbidden dessert is a heavenly conglomeration of the world’s greatest comfort foods: brownies, cookies and Oreos®, with the option of adding a scoop of ice cream. Need I say more?
1 box cookie mix
1 box brownie mix
2 packs of Oreos®
Your favorite ice cream (optional)
Grease proof paper
Preheat your oven to 350°F, 180°C. Line a baking tray with grease proof paper.
Follow instructions on cookie mix box. Stir until cookie dough is gooey. Tip: Add an extra teaspoon of water and oil for more moisture.
Spread cookie dough onto lined baking tray, until it covers the bottom. Cover this layer with Oreos®. Don’t use broken ones.
Follow instructions on brownie box. Mix brownie batter and pour over Oreos®.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool. When it’s still warm, use grease proof paper to lift the brownies from the tray and onto a chopping board. Cut into chunks and add a scoop of ice cream if desired.
