Pepsi-Chicken Chips? I’d Try Them. Would You?

Pepsi and chicken

As I’ve said many times before, I love to try new foods. My rule of thumb is as long as it won’t kill me, I’ll try it (though that rule was broken with puffer fish, but I lived). People who know me know that I’m a pretty adventurous person in general, and food is one of the easier ways to be adventurous.

In case you didn’t know, Asian food can be radically different from ours. It’s not that it’s weird, it’s just not what we’re used to. I once read that the Pizza Huts there put hot dogs, hamburgers, and other weird items on pizza just because it’s a treat for them. What’s street food to us is exotic to them. So, when I heard about Lay’s releasing Pepsi and Chicken flavored chips, I’d be lying if I said I was surprised. But would you try it?

I would. It’s not like Pepsi and chicken aren’t eaten together in reality. Just think of it as putting some wings and soda into a blender and drinking it… okay, now I grossed myself out. But still, it’s something I’d try. Chips, chicken, and soda usually go together for watching a football game, and having all three rolled into one sure makes carrying things to the couch easier.

Rather surprisingly, reviews are mixed, proving that maybe this is too different even for Asia. I’d still like to try them. They’d be a great conversation starter for a holiday party, plus some people (like myself) might actually like the way they taste. So, if Frito Lay and PepsiCo are reading this, I’d love to get my hands on some and give them a taste. I think some of our readers would also like to sample them too. So, the question is, would you try Pepsi and Chicken chips?

I’m not thinking I’m adventurous enough. I’m still trying not to gag at the thought of a Pepsi, Chicken and Potato chip smoothie O_O

Haha. Is it better if we refer to it as a milkshake, or one dish dinner? Nope, not for me.

    Thanks for reading!
