Mr. Green Tea Ice Cream
I’m a big fan of green tea. I’m also fan of ice cream. So when Mr. Green Tea sent me tastes of their Ginger, Red Bean, and Green Tea flavors, I was excited to give them a try. Wow, what a difference from any other ice cream I’ve ever had. The flavors actually taste like what they’re supposed to, and the creaminess just compliments each flavor. I’m hooked!
Personally, I’m a big fan of red bean, so that flavor really appealed to me. In case you don’t know what it is, it’s a sweet bean typically used in Asian desserts. It has the texture of a kidney bean but a sweet kick to go along with it. In case you haven’t tried it, I recommend it. But back to the ice cream.
The reason I’m excited is because I’ve always loved Mr. Green Tea’s ice creams in the past, but have only been able to get them at some of the restaurants near my house. Now, I can bring that flavor home. How cool is that? The reason that this ice cream tastes so good is because they use real dairy cream, pure cane sugar, fresh ginger, tea leaves, and azuki beans (the actual name for red beans).
All that means I can feel a little bit better about the fact that I ate an entire pint of red bean. A little bit better. Just a little. As I type this, the pint of the ginger flavor is calling me toward it. I’ll be right back.
Now if you want to get your hands on some Mr. Green Tea ice cream quickly, it’ll be easy if you live on the East Coast. They seem to be launching there. But, if you’re like me and don’t but just really like the ice cream, I’m sure they’ll be happy to arrange for shipping some of the ice cream to you. After all, it’s some damned good ice cream totally worth having shipped to your home.
