This Milkshake Brings Everyone To The Yard
I don’t know why you’d even want to bring people to a yard using a milkshake. Maybe I don’t understand what Kelis was talking about. Nonetheless, I do love milkshakes, the kind made with milk and ice cream, not whatever kind that song refers to. So, what could you possibly do to make a milkshake even more over-the-top? Booze.
Who doesn’t like booze? Who doesn’t like ice cream? So why is it so crazy to put them together? Don’t judge me. Now I’m not saying that you should go and put prison wine into your next frozen dairy treat. What’s the harm in adding a little buzz to the cool and rich flavor of the ice cream? I don’t see any. Just pick a good alcohol, don’t go crazy with the amount, and definitely don’t drink and drive. Pick flavors that go well together. Maybe peach schnapps and butter-pecan ice cream. Or maybe something even better… keep reading.
I know what you’re thinking. “Daniel, it’s getting cold. Why would I want to drink a milkshake?” It’s delicious, that’s why. The ice cream, the minty flavor, and richness of chocolate liqueur all work together to create a mouth party. Is that an actual term? I don’t know, but it certainly makes more sense than bringing people to a yard with a milkshake. Since this isn’t the healthiest item, I’ll give you the opt out chance right now. Still with me? Good, I knew you’d join the dark side. You can serve this at your holiday party after everyone’s all toasted up from your food and the fireplace. It’ll bring out the kid in all of us and get him or her buzzed. Remember, this is only for people over 21 though! Now, let’s get to the recipe. I know it might look difficult, but you can do it.
2 oz. creme de menthe
2 oz. chocolate liqeur
3 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 C. milk
