Healthy Ways to Flavor Water
Coffee and soda may be only a couple hundred calories per drink, but when you have one every day they can easily ruin a diet. The solution? Try adding a little flavor to your water. Adding fruits, veggies and herbs to water are healthy ways to jazz up plain water without adding extra calories.
Herbs: When you want something cool and refreshing try mint or lemongrass. For a little zing, add ginger.
Fruits: Try strawberries, raspberries, lemons, limes, oranges or blueberries.
Veggies: Slice up some cucumbers for a crisp and refreshing beverage.
Ice: Add flavor by freezing fruit juice in ice cube trays. They add a hint of flavor as they melt in your water.
