Make Your Own Salad Dressings

How can you make your salads even healthier? Make your own dressing. Commercial salad dressings you buy at the grocery store can be loaded with fat, calories and sodium.

While you think you may be eating a healthy salad, you’re dressing could be killing your diet. Making your own dressings is an important part of healthy cooking. Here are some recipes I recommend.

Ranch Dressing: This low fat version is great with salads or for dipping veggies.

French Dressing: This dressing can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Wine Dressing: A good way to use up any tag ends of wine

 Raspberry Dressing: Made with fat-free yogurt, this salad dressing is healthful and delicious.

Balsamic Dressing: This healthful dressing for any salad will help you watch your calories.

Taco Salad Dressing: This spicy dressing goes perfectly with the Mexican flavors of taco salad.

Lemon Mint Dressing: Try this light and refreshing dressing over spring greens or try it as a chicken or fish marinade.

Caesar Dressing: This lasts in the fridge for a week. It’s totally delicious and healthy!
