Nothing says hot chocolate like Double Hot Chocolate! Hot cocoa is a staple around the holidays and all winter long. Whether I’m out at the Christkindlmarket, ice skating downtown with friends in from out of town or holiday shopping on the streets of Chicago, a hot cocoa is the ultimate and most-cherished way of warming up on these chilly days leading up to the start of Winter.
Here are some of our favorites!
What desserts should serve with these terrific cocoa options?
Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake with Easy Cocoa Frosting: Trust us! The mayo keeps this decadent cake super-duper moist.
Kiss Kiss Cake: This is an original recipe created especially for Valentine’s Day but is good at any other time: layers of chestnut brownie cake with a fresh orange bavarois, studded with raspberries and decorated with a dusting of cocoa and piped chestnut cream. YUM!
Applesauce-Cocoa Squares: This layered bar is very easy to throw together and is quite tasty in the way it complements the cocoa flavors. Sweet!
