Parties call for mini appetizers, dips and chips and of course, a little bit of snack mix. Whether you like yours with a little bit of everything, extra spice and everything nice or just plain old crunchy and tasty, we have the recipe for you!

There is nothing better than a little mix of something spicy and sweet. I find that cayenne pepper bumps up any recipe, especially when its a fresh blend. I buy fresh spices when I am going to be cooking for friends and stick with quality cayenne from Whole Foods for everyday use.

The best snack mixes satisfy without filling you up, and remember: everything in moderation!

Try these great mixes at your holiday cocktail party or low-key gathering. They work for all occasions!

Puppy Chow: This sweet snack of peanut butter and chocolate covered rice chex cereal is addicting! This is the classic recipe.

Crockpot Super Snack Mix: Crunchy, salty and totally satisfying.

Savory Snack Mix: One of my favorites!

Yogurty Twist Mix: This DIY snack mix is only 100 calories!

Monkey Munch: A quick and easy treat to share with family and friends and a great recipe to make with those little ones.

Southwestern Spiced Party Nuts: These mixed nuts are made with chili powder and cayenne pepper – spicy and delicious.

Roasted Sesame and Honey Snack Mix: This wonderful snack-mix is a salty treat — perfect to take on-the-go!

Chex Party Mix: Another classic recipe with a great taste.

American Blessings Mix: A Great Jar Gift Idea.  If you are looking for that perfect gift, look no further.

Arrange your snack mixes in seasonal decorative bowls and be sure to label them so that people know what is in them. Some people love wasabi peas and others have no tolerance for heat! Serve cocktails that compliment the sweet and savory mixes.

Another of my favorite snacks are the Fudgy and Peanut Butter varieties of popcorn from Tastefully Simple. These popcorn mixes are at once crunchy, salty and sweet. Since 1995, the company has provided party mixes, beverages, desserts and soups ideal for all of your party needs. Our office’s favorite popcorn variety was the Fudgy Popcorn. You can sell the brand yourself or find someone who does!

What kind of mix do you gravitate towards, sweet, salty or spicy? Have you tried anything from Tastefully Simple? Let us know in the COMMENTS!
