Chew On This! Project 7 Products For a Cause!
Project 7 not only has terrific products, they also make sure to give back. When you buy, they give. Learn more about the company and its efforts and their minty fresh products after the jump!
Project 7 makes products for good. You may have seen their products at your local Caribou Coffee!
“Simply put, Project 7 exists to give.” Project 7 is a cause-related company that makes goods like bio-bottled water, gum ( I love the fresh, minty and super-refreshing flavor), mints (strong and effective) and coffee. The company isn’t asking you to buy more things you probably don’t need, but instead to change the way you shop and the products you are currently purchasing.
For every purchase of a Project 7 product, some good is done in one of seven areas of need – Feed the Hungry, Heal the Sick, Hope for Peace, House the Homeless, Quench the Thirsty, Teach them Well and Save the Earth. Non-profit organizations supporting any of these 7 areas of need can submit applications to the company.
Founded in 2008 by Tyler Merrick, Project 7 takes a new spin on the 7 deadly sins. Instead of focusing on a person who is gluttonous, for example, Merrick decided to focus on helping the person who has nothing to eat. Sheer brilliance, I say!
How Does It All Work?
FUNDING – Purchase any Project 7 product. The funds collected go to worthy non-profits, with each product supporting a specific positive action.
VOLUNTEERING – Project 7 encourages their partners to volunteer every month at a non-profit that works toward positive change in one of the seven areas of need. These monthly events are called 7 Days. To learn more about 7 Days and how to become a local chapter, click here.
EDUCATING – The U.S. alone wastes enough food to feed the entire world. Inspiration comes from education, and Project 7 believes that the more people understand the issues, the more they are able to do to help make a positive change in the world.
In what ways have you tried to change the world? Click here to purchase products from Project 7, and let us know how you have made a positive change in the COMMENTS!
