Hearty Dinner Thursday: Steak Fajitas

We started Hearty Dinner Thursday last week with Fettuccine Alfredo (read it here) and we’re continuing the trend  this week with Steak Fajitas! We know that everyone needs at least 1 day a week to indulge, and today is the perfect day to have steak alongside some delectable veggies. Keep reading to learn the method and start making your own Steak Fajitas!

The great thing about fajitas is that they’re totally customizable: you can add whatever ingredients and toppings you want! First off, we’ll start with the steak. It doesn’t much matter what cut of meat you get, and anything from skirt steak to a T-bone will work just fine. Cook your steak as you like, and maybe even try this Steak Marinade. You can also use leftover steak from your previous night’s dinner. After your steak is cooked, cut it into thin strips to put in the fajita.

Peppers go perfectly with fajitas, and we recommend making Grilled Onions and Peppers to top your steak fajita.

After you’ve cooked the peppers and steak, you’re ready to build the fajita. Start with a tortilla and add your steak, onions, and peppers. Top with whatever you like!

We recommend adding:

Mexican Rice

Salsa Mexicana

Guacamole Dip

Spicy Mexican Corn

Sour Cream, Lettuce, and Shredded Cheese

Best of luck cooking!

Now you tell us: What do you like to put on your tacos and fajitas? Do you have any special toppings or recipes?
