15 Fruits & Veggies with the Least Pesticides
Eating organic is a huge craze nowadays, and for a good reason. Who wants to consume dangerous pesticides every time they dine on fruits and veggies? Buying only organic produce, however, can get pretty expensive. If you don’t have the cash to eat organic, stick to fruits and veggies that have as little pesticides as possible. Check out a list of the top 15 after the jump!
The Environmental Working Group put together a list of the 15 fruits and veggies that are least likely to test positive for pesticides (aka “The Clean Fifteen”), so you can be safer when you eat non-organic food. Here they are:

6. Sweet Peas (Frozen)
I recently switched from canned peas to frozen, and I’m never going back. Plump and flavorful, peas are one of my favorite veggies- especially in pasta dishes.
A fun and tropical fruit that tastes like summer. Try putting together a mango fruit salad this season.
I don’t love eggplant, but when it’s breaded (like in eggplant Parmesan), I will gobble it up!
9. Cantaloupe (Domestic)
Don’t serve plain old cantaloupe at your next barbecue- toss it on the grill, instead. Your guests will love it!

My favorite way to eat cabbage is stuffed with ground beef and rice- cabbage rolls are the best!
When I’m not eating watermelon on its own, I like to make a no-bake pie with it.
13. Sweet Potatoes
Perfect for fall, sweet potatoes are one of my favorite Thanksgiving treats!
Grapefruit is a bit too tart for my liking, but when it’s baked into yummy pumpkin bread, I can’t get enough of the stuff!
