Around the USA in 50 Recipes!
I, like many people in the world, have a desire to visit each and every state in the USA. I would love to see how the cultures differ, the scenery differs, and- most of all- how the food differs! Because I can’t go to every single state (at least not today, anyways), I decided to create a little culinary journey around the USA using Recipe4Living recipes. Find out which recipe represents your state after the jump!
Because the list is so long, I only included a portion of it. Click here to view the entire article!
Alabama
Alabama Breakfast Soufflé: Need to feed a lot of people in the morning? This easy casserole feeds 10 to 12 people!
Alaska
Alaskan Salmon Chowder: Get lots of Omega 3 from this fish soup that’s also low in fat. Very nutritious and delicious
Arizona
May Clark’s Arizona Chili: Steak sauce is the secret ingredient to this tasty chili.
Arkansas
Biscuits and Gravy: This is a delicious, really simple recipe for the most delicious biscuits and gravy you will ever taste! And, there’s nothing to them!
California
California Turkey Wraps: Avocado, sweetened with lime juice, is layered with fresh smoked turkey, tomato, and red onion.
Colorado
Mountain Mama: A pecan crust holds three layers of chocolate and creamy goodness.
Connecticut
Connecticut Beef Supper: A full meal in itself, this dish has a little bit of everything.
Delaware
Crab Stew: With this stew recipe you can use fresh or canned crabmeat. I’d recommend fresh, however, if you’re short on time, canned is probably easier. If you’re not a fan of crab, substitute chicken or shrimp!
Florida
Florida Key Lime Pie: Nothing says Florida Keys like some Key Lime Pie. Get tropical with dessert with this yummy recipe!
Georgia
Georgia Peach and Praline Pie: This Georgia peach and praline pie recipe combines two great pies in one pie shell.
Hawaii
Hawaiian Pork: Curry powder and pineapple juice make this a uniquely flavored dish.
Idaho
Potato Salad: This potato salad is a favorite in my family and in their families, as well. When the potatoes are grated, the salad can be a wonderful chip dip as well. This potato salad chilled and garnished with eggs, cilantro or sweet basil will be a beautiful addition to your table. It has a rich taste. Add more buttermilk and you have a creamy dip.
Illinois
Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza: Deep and tasty, this is true Chicago style pizza! I got this traditional recipe from a friend!
