Editor’s Picks: What’s in MY Recipe Box?
As an editor for Recipe4Living, I browse through thousands of recipes on the site each day. Because I stare at recipes all day every day, it takes a really special recipe for me to actually stop, take a moment, and put it in my recipe box. So today, I’ve decided to share the recipes that have made me say, “Hey- I really want to try that!” See them all after the jump!
APPETIZERS
Brie with Caramelized Onion Chutney: If you ever ask anyone who knows me, they will tell you that I’m CRAZY about caramelized onions. Coincidentally, I am also wild about brie! Put them together in a super easy appetizer and I’m there!
Spicy Brie and Apricot Spread: Noticing a pattern here? Brie=heaven!
Eight Layered Greek Dip: Just take a look at the photo attached to this one and tell me it doesn’t look amazing! A no-cook appetizer that takes only minutes to prepare.
MAIN COURSES
Cajun Chicken Smoked Sausage Stew: This one got fabulous ratings from our users and it looks super delicious. Plus, you make it in your crockpot, so it’s super easy!
Russ’s Spaghetti Sauce: Another crockpot wonder, this meat sauce sounds simple, hearty, and perfect for a novice cook like me.
Roasted Chicken with Risotto and Caramelized Onions: Another one with caramelized onions! I might have to save this one until I get a bit more skilled in the kitchen, but I can’t wait to try it.
Olive and Sun-Dried Tomato Calzone: Easy, cheesy, and done in 20 minutes. Enough said.
Chickpea Salad: A healthy, Mediterranean-style salad that sounds like the perfect lunch to bring to work.
Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Feta Cheese and Spinach: Feta is another one of my favorite cheeses, and while this dish may get messy, I’m willing to give it a shot!
Italian Spaghetti with Pesto: I adore pasta, and this simple recipe is loaded with Italian flavors that I love! A total budget meal.
SIDE DISHES
Crunchy Banana Colada Bread: Banana, pineapple, and coconut bread with a crunchy topping. YUM!
DRINKS
Rhubarb Wine: I love the fact that this takes a full year to make. How fun would it be to finally open that bottle of wine and take a sip after all that waiting?!
The Holy Vow: This cocktail sounds dangerously delicious, plus it contains ingredients that I usually have on hand.
