My Thoughts on Quesadillas

There is one combination of food that I could eat for the rest of my life in +100 ways. What could it be? Cheese and bread! Grilled cheese, crackers and cheese wedges, pizza bread, tiropites, etc; they all have a place in my belly. Lately though, I’ve been craving the Mexican version of this pairing…quesadillas!

So what is a quesadilla? It’s a delicious food consisting of cooked and melted cheese inside a folded corn or wheat tortilla. Some people add chicken or beef to their quesadillas, but other additions include tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, olives and seafood.

Here are 5 cool ways to make your quesadillas:

Cheesy Quesadillas – This is the most simple quesadilla recipe, but it has more than just cheese. It also include onion, chilies and chunky salas! If you’re watching your calories, try a reduced-fat cheese.

Chicken Quesadillas – Another pretty easy quesadilla recipe filled with vegetables and chicken. This recipe is perfect for kids and adults. Try serving them at your next fiesta!

Spicy Steak Quesadillas – Yes, you can actually add steak to your quesadilla, and I’d highly recommend trying it. It’s a fun way to change up steak night!

Lobster Quesadillas – Get out of your comfort zone with a quesadillas filled with lobster and goat cheese. Yep, you heard us right. We’re not using an orange cheese this time. This is a tropical quesadilla that you won’t forget!

Chicken Quesadillas with Grilled Pear Salsa
- Okay, so quesadillas might not seem like thr classiest food, but when they’re paired with an elegant fruit salsa, then they’re pretty much royalty!

Do you enjoy quesadillas? What’s your favorite cheese and bread combination?

I agree. These things are right up there with pizza–the perfect food. We do like to change it up–with sandwich spread toppings.
