Mark Bittman’s New Cooking Channel Program

Mark Bittman, New York Times columnist and author, has recently partnered with the Cooking Channel to create a new series that shares the name of his famous food column, “The Minimalist.” Read more about Mark, his new show, and when you can tune in after the jump!

Mark Bittman is pretty huge in the foodie world.  Not only has Mark written for the New York Times for over 13 years, but he has also written several books, including How to Cook Everything, The Best Recipes in the World, and Food Matters.

Mark isn’t a stranger to other forms of media, either.  He has starred in the television programs “Bittman Takes on America’s Chefs” and “The Best Recipes in the World,” he has been a guest on countless other television programs, and he has even created a film entitled “What’s Wrong With What We Eat?”

Now he has decided to join the Cooking Channel and I’m definitely excite to watch his show.  Here’s what you can expect from his program: “Based on his weekly column in The New York Times, The Minimalist shares Bittman’s clear, simple techniques and recipes that have made him an iconic name in kitchens across the country.”  I can only handle simple techniques when I’m cooking, so this sounds like the perfect show to me!
