McDonald’s Fruit & Maple Oatmeal
Personally, I can’t stand oatmeal. It’s lumpy and just not appetizing. But my sister loves it! She says that it’s healthy, comforting and a perfect winter breakfast. I’d rather just stick to my yogurt. But it looks like McDonalds agrees with my sister. By the end of the week, 14,000 McDonald’s restaurants will be selling oatmeal. Read more after the jump!
The plus is that it isn’t a boring variety. It will be maple-flavored, and will also have diced green and red apples, raisins, cranberries and cream. The oatmeal will be served in a small cardboard cup and will only cost $1.99. I’ve been hearing that there’s less than 300 calories in each cup of oatmeal. That actually doesn’t sound half bad!
But if you’d rather take the time and make your own oatmeal, which I think will probably be the healthier choice, here are a few recipes to start you off:
Maple Oatmeal
Oatmeal
Deluxe Crockpot Oatmeal
Or you can add in some oatmeal to a dessert. It’s not as healthy, but for someone like me, it’s definitely preferred.
Apple Oatmeal Cake
Oatmeal Scones
Fruity Oatmeal Cookies
