Canned Chicken Recall
Eggs aren’t the only food item being recalled this year. We now also have a nationwide recall of 72,000 pounds of canned chicken salad, according to CNN. There have been many other recalls involved poultry and meat products in the last couple days.
The Suter Company recalled its 8.2-ounce packages of the “Bumble Bee Lunch on the Run Chicken Salad Complete Lunch Kit” and 3.5-ounce packages of “Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers.” These products can be found all over the U.S. so make sure to let all your friends and family know.
The recalled products have an August 2011 “best-by” date for the lunch kit, and February 2012 “best-by” date for the cracker package.
So how did the recall begin? There were a variety of complaints from people who found pieces of plastic within their packages. So far no one has gotten sick, but the FDA didn’t want to take any chances.
That’s not it though.
- Diana’s Mexican Food Products is recalling 41,670 pounds of chicken tamales.
- N.Y. Gourmet Salads recalled a variety of meat and poultry products.
For now, we recommend that you skip the chicken. Here are some delicious winter meals for you to try instead:
