Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread!

A while back, I saw a recipe for pumpkin chocolate chip bread at http://twopeasandtheirpod.com. The second I saw it, I knew I had to make it! There’s nothing better than pumpkin and there’s definitely nothing better than chocolate, so putting them together can only end in bliss! Keep reading for more photos and the full recipe!
Since the recipe makes three full loaves of bread, I decided I’d bring one to each Thanksgiving dinner I was attending, then keep a whole loaf for myself! Perfect. First, I assembled the ingredients:
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 cups granulated sugar
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
1 cup canola oil
2/3 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Then, I prepped. Here’s step 1 from the original recipe:
“1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray three 9×5 inch loaf pans with cooking spray and set aside.” Done!
“2. In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.”
Here’s the unwhisked mixture:

And here’s the whisked mixture:

“3. In a large bowl, combine sugar, pumpkin, canola oil, water, vanilla, and eggs. Mix until smooth.”
Unblended:

Blended:

“4. Slowly blend in flour mixture. Fold in chocolate chips. Evenly divide batter between the three loaf pans.” Forgot to show what it looked like with the chocolate chips, but you can use your imagination!

“5. Bake for 60 minutes, or until browned and a toothpick comes out clean. Remove loaves from oven and cool in pans on a wire rack for 15 minutes. With a knife, go around the bread and loosen the loaves. Remove from pan and cool completely before slicing.”

The result? A moist, delicious bread that everybody adored! The spices in the bread made it taste like pumpkin pie with chocolate. I loved it! Every time I left the kitchen, my boyfriend would eat another slice, so I wasn’t able to snap a photo of the finished product until there was only a stump left!
