Last Chance to Enter The Great Groupon Giveaway!

Hi, everybody!  Our Sandra Lee cookbook giveaway ended about a week ago and now it’s time for another giveaway!  This time, TWO awesome Groupon gift certificates are up for grabs!  Find out more after the jump!

So what exactly is Groupon? I’ll let them tell you in their own words.  Here’s how they describe themselves:

Groupon negotiates huge discounts on popular local goods, services and cultural events. Then we offer the deals to thousands of subscribers in a free daily email. The deals are activated only when a minimum number of people agree to buy. So our subscribers get a great deal and the business gets a ton of new customers. Win-win.

More than just a deal site, Groupon is a city guide, a social tool and the best way to experience your city without paying full price.”

I can speak from experience and tell you that Groupon is one of my favorite websites out there (no joke!)I’m a serious penny-pincher, and I have done tons of fun stuff on the cheap by using this site.  The best part is that Groupon isn’t just all restaurants and shops.  I’ve gotten affordable dental care through Groupon, I’ve had a super-fun Whirlyball session, and I’ve eaten out at several delicious places! They have discounted spa treatments, concert tickets, Segway tours…you can even get discounted skydiving rates!  They seriously have it all.

Feel free to check out their website, check out today’s deals, and learn more here!

I love Groupon. I couldn’t tell you how much I spent.. err.. saved with them! Its great if you life in a city they serve. Also, in Philly, they have a few others sites that offer similar deals like Groupon. I’m sure other cities have the same thing.

Groupon is a great way to try new things! I have used Groupon for being adventurous not only when it comes to my tastebuds, but also my social life! Rock climbing lessons at a gym half off? Sure! 50% off fine french dining? “I’ll try the foie gras, please!” (well, maybe not that adventurous…). Groupon let’s my frugal self go out and live better while my wallet and bank account remain intact. Thanks Groupon!

I have a good friend who used to be pretty successful whose really fallen on tough times the last couple years. I mean he’s now renting a spare bedroom and taking buses around town because he no longer has a car. Laptop died so he either borrows mine or goes to the library.

I would take him out somewhere to a nice lunch. I think it would really lift him spirits and get him thinking more positively during the holidays and going into 2011.
