Juiciest Burger Recipe Contest Winner
Congratulations to Lasxrcista from Moreno Valley, California! Her Buffalo Style Burger is the winner of the Recipe4Living Juiciest Burger Recipe Contest. According to her, “This burger is a perfect marriage of arguably the two most popular foods in existence – cheeseburgers and buffalo wings! Well, maybe that’s just me. This burger is, hands down, the best burger I have ever tasted.”
Ingredients
* 10 oz. 97/3 ground beef
* 10 oz 80/20 ground beef
* 4 celery stalks, sliced thin
* 1 carrot, grated
* 3/4 C. blue cheese dressing
* 1/4 C. + 1 tsp. Franks Red Hot hot sauce
* 4 onion hamburger buns
* salt, to taste
* pepper, to taste
Directions
Combine celery, carrot, blue cheese dressing, and 1 teaspoon of Franks Red Hot with salt and pepper to taste and set aside. Mix the ground beef together, making sure to not overwork the meat. Form 4 large patties, and put a dimple in the center of the burger with your finger. This will help prevent the dreaded burger bulge. While you’re forming the patties, heat a (cast-iron preffered)skillet to medium high heat. Salt and pepper the patties just before placing in skillet. Cook on both sides for about 4 minutes each side. Refrain from pressing the burgers while cooking. This will decrease the juiciness significantly. Toast the burger buns under the broiler, and once toasty, squirt a few (or more than a few) drops of Franks Red Hot on each side of the bun, place burger patty on top and top with the celery “slaw” mixture. Douse with more hot sauce to your liking and enjoy!

Posted by Computer Backpack at September 7th, 2010, 7:45 pmIt must be dang good, what with the blue cheese. I can’t ever resist a burger with a little of that piquant, tangy, creamy cheese.
