Tomorrow marks a week since the victory of President Elect Barack Obama. All across the world, many have celebrated his victory and are anxiously awaiting his inauguration this coming January. The praise for Barack Obama can be noted in all forms of expression from rallies to art to most importantly, food. Frankly, I have never seen a man represented in so many cakes, cookies, cupcakes, pizzas and even soups! I’ve put together a small roundup of the Obama food I’ve come across this past week, but I’m sure the surge of edible ‘Obamarama’ is not over yet.

Let’s start with breakfast. Prior to election day, this box of ‘waffle mix’, brought to our attention by Slash Food, was a humorous approach to coercing voters to choose Obama if they want change.

Now that we’ve eaten breakfast and bread, let’s have some pizza. Matzo and Rice made their interpretation of the logo for Obama’s presidential campaign with spinach leaves, cheese and pepperoni.

And finally, it’s time for dessert! Make sure to save your appetite for multiple desserts because we have plenty! The first is an Obama cupcake frosted with Obama’s picture and decorated with red, white and blue sprinkles. These delicious cupcakes were made by Wright Eats in honor of our next president.

Obama’s presidential campaign logo also made it atop some very colorful cupcakes,  made with red, white and blue frosting atop blue cake for the Democrats (made by I’ll Eat You blog).

By far, the most humorous rendition this playful political food scene is The Humble Gourmand‘s reinvention of Obama’s book “The Audacity of Hope” into its own brew. The blog goes so far as to change the word ‘hope’ to ‘hops’ and place a beer in Obama’s hand for their beer’s label. I’ll take a pint of Obama!

And finally, the biggest dessert of them all: a 1,240 cupcake mosaic of Obama! Originally brough to us by Cake Wrecks, this work of art was made by Zillycakes Bakery. From afar, it just looks like pixelated photo, bu if you zoom in, you can tell that they are cupcakes! How cool.
