This place is not very good. I certainly would not travel out of my way to got there. I had a reuben there and it was just run of the mill. Not to crush anyone’s dreams but it isn’t that good.

I used to live in Ann Arbor, and a visit to Zingerman’s was always a special treat. You have made me very homesick!

I actually wasn’t too impressed with the Zingerman’s corned beef (I prefer extra-lean), but some of those packaged desserts did look pretty good.

I’m glad someone else is as thrilled with the Zingerman empire as I am. Do you know they also have a restaurant in a different part of town? The macaroni and cheese dish is what angels must snack on in heaven. It’s indescribably good.
I first found Zingerman’s during the Ann Arbor Art Fair a few years ago, and go back there every chance I get. During the summer, there’s also a wonderful farmer’s market just down and across the street.
Zingerman’s is where all good foodies go when they die-see you there!

In New York we have Zabar’s, which is pretty darned wonderful. But I’ve always wanted to go to Zingerman’s, since friends who went to school in Ann Arbor first told me about it. The catalog and online site are wonderful, but there’s nothing like the aromas of a great deli. I hope you stocked up on lots of pantry goodies while you were there!
